Best time to paint your home's exterior in Waterloo Region — Ridgeline Painting Co.

The best window for exterior painting in Waterloo Region is May through October. We need consistent temperatures of at least 10°C and dry conditions. Spring (late April into June) and early fall (September into October) are ideal — not too hot, not too cold, and usually enough dry days to complete prep and paint without rain delays.

Why temperature and moisture matter

Paint doesn’t cure properly in cold or wet conditions. If we paint when it’s too cold, adhesion fails and you’ll see peeling or blistering within a year or two. We never paint in rain or when rain is expected within the curing window. We’ll reschedule and keep you updated. It’s not worth rushing and compromising the finish.

Booking ahead

We typically book 2–3 weeks out from an approved quote. If you want your exterior done in May or September, get your estimate in early. Rush scheduling is sometimes available in slower months (December–February) for interior work, but exterior is strictly seasonal. Plan ahead and you’ll get the slot you want.
